“15 Rounds” single
out on April 21st, 2026
Sneak preview of 15 Rounds below:
Lyrics
duck your head
down don't turn around
don't try to be a hero
just get yourself out
explosions of sound
ring out in 15 rounds
watch them all fall down beside you
and suck all the air out the room
just wait it out
any minute now
but no one's coming to save you
if they were they'd be here now
Time's running out
never again they'll say out loud
I'll be standing right beside you
just know there's nothing I can do

Boston singer-songwriter Zion Rodman is releasing a new slowcore/dream pop single “15 Rounds” on April 21, the second single from an upcoming album due in May. The album release show will be at The Burren Backroom on Saturday, May 16th.
“15 Rounds” is a slow-building dream pop/slowcore track that opens with a clean guitar before gradually expanding into a layered, atmospheric arrangement. Centered on tension, urgency, and helplessness, the song leans on space and dynamics to create a slow, immersive release.
This is the second single (following “Living in Hell”) released since his EP in 2024, met with a sold-out release show at The Burren Backroom and a positive review in The Boston Globe: “Rodman’s collection [...] glows with optimism and gratitude, lending light to otherwise somber situations.”
Zion is an active member of the Boston music community, hosting open mics at Toad and Medford Brewing Company, performing throughout the city, and working as a sound engineer at local venues. He has appeared as a featured artist with We Black Folk, performed at Uncommon Stage in Boston Common, and played over 30 Sofar Sounds shows. He will support his upcoming album The Acquisition of All Things with another release show at The Burren Backroom on May 16th and a summer East Coast tour.
The single and upcoming album were recorded, mixed, and mastered at Rusty’s Recording Studio (Salem, MA) featuring Zion Rodman on guitar/vocals, David Greiff on drums, Christian Colegrove on bass, and Aaron Weitekamp on keyboard/synth. All music and lyrics written by Zion Rodman.
